What a wonderful experience it has been to have Jim and Penny Davis build our home! They took on the challenge of dealing with three generations of our family and made the construction process an absolute pleasure for us all. We are so pleased with the quality and beauty of our new home. Not only were there no surprises as to the cost of construction, but we are also delighted with the superior quality of the workmanship as well as the fact that the project was completed ahead of the expected time.

We learned through Jim's example the importance of the contractor being on site and actually working on the construction. His involvement in all phases of the work was continually evident. Once, when we wondered how the ceiling would be configured to account for a high window, Jim turned a potential problem into an incredibly beautiful solution. His constant presence and hands-on approach is evident throughout the home. Furthermore, the people who work for him and the subcontractors he uses are the best. All are professionals who do an outstanding, honest and conscientious job.

Penny's role proved to be a true blessing. We know of no contractor who has someone as competent as she. Our family not only represents three different generations, but also three different geographic regions -- Green Lake, Indianapolis and the Chicago area. Penny did a fabulous job coordinating our three divergent groups and kept all of us well-informed. We learned to love her posting of photos on the web site to help us visualize the construction progress.

Penny also guided us through the entire process, starting with her showing us houses of previous clients. Her efforts were invaluable in the selection and designing of the house plan. She was involved in all aspects of construction down to the tiniest of details. There were so many choices that needed to be made during construction, and her sincere willingness to help and exceptional organizational skills guided us expertly through the entire decision-making process.

There were countless times Jim and Penny went above and beyond what one would hope from a builder. Together, they turned what could have been headaches for us into things that were pure fun!

If someone is looking to build, here is the best advice our family can provide. Be sure to choose Jim and Penny Davis. Working with them has made a world of difference for our family. We could not be more pleased.
